The sculpture celebrates life on and in the water. Inspired by the feeling you get when you are on the open water and able to appreciate the beauty of nature from a new perspective. There are lots of intricate textures and rich colours to enjoy with this piece. The vibrant sea greens were created using a homemade patina to speed up the natural oxidising process of the copper. It was then sealed with a varnish to preserve the colour. It is made from copper and brass and is mounted on a spalted beech base.
